“For: The Essentials Blue Online Worship History Course with Dan Wilt“
Final Project: After the lesson on God’s nature, I decided I wanted to write a song based on the theology of the Trinity. As Dan Wilt said, one of the greatest challenges facing contemporary worship leaders will be in addressing songs, prayers, and words directly to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So, I thought I would give it a try. (1) I used N. T. Wright’s Trinitarian prayer quoted in the study as my guide:
Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
Set up your kingdom in our midst.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God;
Have mercy on me, a sinner.
Holy Spirit, breath of the living God;
Renew me and all the world. (2)
We are to worship God with our heart, soul, mind and strength. The Kingdom is present; so worship the Lord. The Kingdom is coming; so prepare to worship the King in holiness.
This is my “new song” I bring to worship God. May the Holy Spirit take my song, cleanse it and make it acceptable to God.
“My heart and my flesh, sing for the glory to the living God.” (Psalms 84:2)

FOREVER I”LL WORSHIP YOU
God my Father, Lord of Creation. Let your Kingdom come.
Give me a new heart, draw me near you. Let my soul rejoice.
For your glory LORD, let my heart sing. Forever I’ll worship you.
For your glory LORD, let my heart sing. Forever I’ll worship you.
Lord my Savior, loving Jesus. You have rescued me.
You have given life eternal. I have been set free.
For your glory LORD, let my heart sing. Forever I’ll worship you.
For your glory LORD, let my heart sing. Forever I’ll worship you.
Holy Spirit, come and fill me, make me holy, pure.
Give me a new song, to tell God’s story. Let my spirit soar.
For your glory LORD, let my heart sing. Forever I’ll worship you.
For your glory LORD, let my heart sing. Forever I’ll worship you.
Let my soul rejoice, Let my spirit soar. Let me lift my voice in praise.
Sing a new song, for your glory LORD. Forever I’ll worship you.
